Queen & Slim Screening

To celebrate the release of Queen & Slim, starring Academy Award nominee Daniel Kaluuya and Jodie Turner-Smith, Pocc hosted a special preview of the film ahead of its general release.

Two-time Grammy award winning director Melina Matsoukas, the visionary filmmaker behind HBO’s Insecure, the Emmy award winning “Thanksgiving” episode of Netflix’s Master of None and Beyonce’s “Formation” music video, joined us for a Q&A where she provided exclusive insight into her creative vision, inspiration and the production process.

The evening in partnership with Everyman Cinema also featured a surprise short film from a Pocc filmmaker, prize giveaways, free merchandise and refreshments, as well as an opportunity for guests to meet and network with members of the Pocc community.
