Gurdev was born in Punjab, India
And arrived in Leicester in 1965
She grew up supporting her family
By working on their farm
And continued that family support in the UK
Where she held down three jobs
As a seamstress, cook
And cleaner
Her husband worked his way
out of the foundry
They raised 2 children together
One of whom
Now works as a creative at
Havas Jump…
