Job Description

We are looking for a creative & enthusiastic Mid-Weight Designer to join our growing agency. As part of the creative and design department you will work as part of a team to deliver a high standard of design across a variety of briefs from every department including new business, strategy, creative and production. These projects range from advertising, social media campaigns, branding, client work across all channels for a wide range of well-known brands in addition to pitch documents new business proposals and pitches.

Reporting into the Head of Design, the ideal candidate will have a strong mix of design skills as well as being well versed across the Adobe suite, including AfterEffects. The ability to produce beautifully designed layouts one day and branding or online campaigns the next is important as our clients’ briefs are wide and varied.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside designers, creatives and producers to create exciting and on-brand work every time, whilst adhering to client briefs.
  • Interpreting briefs & providing creative design input throughout the ideation and production processes.
  • Participate in the implementation of our I&D and Environmental actions.
  • Research and communicate new design trends and examples from other design-based industries as well as Advertising.
  • A self-starter, capable of working independently, and motivated to succeed.
  • Meticulous attention to detail across all design including helping to drive the quality of our Agency’s output.
  • Provide design support and guidance for the New Business, Marketing and PR team including helping to maintain the Atomic brand across social channels.
  • Work with the Head of Design to make sure all of our work has strong brand affinity across both Atomic and Client projects.
  • Help build on the designs for our various agency tools and channels.

Skills Required

Essential Experience: 3+ Years in a design studio or similar

  • A curiosity for everything ‘Design’ and a desire to share that with the team.
  • Great folio of design work across a variety of media.
  • Ability to create best in class design and content aligned to a brief.
  • Advanced in Adobe Creative suite – especially Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop. After Effects experience also advantageous.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and effectively
  • Ability to work independently or in a team.
  • A thorough knowledge of social media platforms and visual trends.
  • A keen interest in new technology constantly and proactively seeking opportunities to improve.
  • Experience creating assets featuring illustrated animation and kinetic typography is preferable.
  • Be able to think strategically as well as executionally.
