To celebrate Lunar New Year and U.S. Black History month, Pocc and Shutterstock are collaborating this February to offer grants to visual and music artists:
– 3 x $1000 USD grants to visual and music artists of East and South East Asian heritage
– 3 x $1000 USD grants to Black U.S. visual and music artists residing in the United States
We exist to celebrate and support artists of the global majority in their creative endeavours, so these grants have no strings attached.
SUBMISSION DETAILS:
Email: [email protected] by Sunday 20th February 11:59pm, with the following:
1) Your submission or portfolio
2) Your bio
3) A short description of your work and how the grant will support you in your creative ventures (no more than 100 words).
Recipients will be selected by a Pocc team and notified by 22nd February 2022.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR ENTRY:
– Applicants must be of East Asian or South East Asian heritage to apply for the Lunar New Year grant. This is open to all global regions.
– Applicants must be Black and based in the U.S. to apply for the U.S. Black History month grant
– Applicants must be a visual or musical artist which is inclusive of: videographers, filmmakers, photographers, illustrators, designers, motion graphics designers, art directors, creatives, artists, composers, singers, music producers etc.
– There is no age limit on artists
RECIPIENTS OF AWARDS:
There are no strings attached to recipients of the grant, however if successful, you will be invited to and are welcome to decline:
– Being spotlighted on Pocc and Shutterstock socials and comms
– Sign up to become a paid Shutterstock contributor
