Pocc and RCRDSHOP present: The Sauce

September 23, 2021

If you weren’t there, where were you? On 9th September Pocc collaborated with RCRDSHOP, taking over the Serpentine Pavilion at Kensington Gardens host The Sauce – an evening of live music, creativity and connectivity featuring some of London’s hottest up-and-coming musicians.

After eighteen months of disruption and disquiet for creators of all disciplines, an opportunity to connect, celebrate and vibe was long overdue. Black, brown and ethnically diverse creators coming together in a show of support and dripping with sauce was just what Auntie ordered.

Jay Wicox, RCRDSHOP CVO said “POCC and RCRDSHOP are both sources of positive energy, progression and creativity to the world. Our communities contribute ’The Sauce’ to everything we touch. Joining forces with Pocc to create something spectacular that is rooted in our core values and centred around our people is exciting. In taking up more space and opening up more opportunities through our first creative musical event, we’re proud to be presenting the artistry of some of the city’s most exciting up and coming talent at the iconic Serpentine Pavilion”.

An event that lived up to its name, people from the Pocc and RCRDSHOP community turned up to The Sauce to hear the sensational sounds of the likes of Anjlo Disons, Sarah Ikumu, Mula, Kemi Ade, Isee, Javan And Morgan Munroe

The Sauce is currently self-funded by RCRDSHOP and Pocc with Serpentine donating their iconic Pavilion venue designed by Sumayya Vally, Counterspace. Hopefully, with secured sponsorship more iterations of The Sauce can be made possible to continue hosting this event for our communities.
