May Artist In Residence: Family (Closed)

May 12, 2022

We’re back with the second instalment of our Artist In Residence fund, brought to you in partnership with Clear Channel and Shutterstock. We’re offering more outdoor media space and artist grants for UK artists of African, Caribbean and Asian descent. To enter all you have to do is submit your artistic interpretation of the following brief:

THE BRIEF – FAMILY

There’s not many places where we see balance and equity. One of the places where we DO find it is in family, in friends and in the immediate support networks around us. Family can ground and exalt. Family can influence who we are. So as part of us celebrating family – however you define it – we’d like to see your interpretations of this month’s theme: family. Make it original and compelling, and you may just see it placed on a billboard.

HOW DO I ENTER?

Email [email protected] by Sunday 5th June 2022 with the following:

  1. Your submission:
    1. Visual artists: Hi-Res portrait entries to fit digital billboards
    2. Verbal/Word artists: 1 page of text (50 words max) to fit into our template3) A short description of your art (100 words max)
  2. Your bio (100 words max)
  3. A short description of your art (100 words max)

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

If submitting imagery with models, please ensure permissions are granted for any models featured.

Final artists will need to sign a release form to give permission for your work to be showcased in Pocc, Shutterstock and Clear Channel social, online and media communications worldwide as well as in outdoor media as part of the 2022 Art Fund programme.

Final artists will be invited to become a Shutterstock Content Collaborator, although this is optional and not a pre-requisite of receiving the £500 grant.

Our team will endeavour to supply a site list before your art goes live across billboards so you can see your work live.
