About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior CRM Executive to join our dynamic CRM and marketing team for a 9-month maternity cover. Reporting to the Senior Marketing & CRM Manager, you’ll be responsible for planning, implementing, and reporting on campaigns that drive engagement and generate revenue for The Independent and The Evening Standard.

Key Responsibilities:
– Implement commercial campaigns across The Independent and The Evening Standard.
– Prepare and distribute performance reports.
– Coordinate the sponsorship calendar for The Independent’s newsletters.
– Write creative briefs and work with the marketing designer on campaign assets.
– Oversee email campaign builds and ensure timely delivery.
– Collaborate with affiliates on key eCommerce events.
– Support The Evening Standard’s events team with marketing campaigns.
– Ensure GDPR compliance in all campaigns.

About You:
– Hands-on CRM specialist with 2+ years of experience.
– Strong commercial awareness and ability to identify market opportunities.
– Proficient in building, deploying, and testing campaigns within a CEP/CRM system.
– Experienced in CRM retention and engagement strategies.
– Comfortable working with data and commercial teams.
– Highly motivated, results-oriented, and eager to learn.

Skills and Experience:
– Proficient in conceptualising, building, and reporting on email campaigns.
– Experienced in growing loyalty/subscriber bases.
– Results-driven with a positive mindset.
– Strong collaboration skills and attention to detail.
– Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

– Experience with Braze (Customer Engagement Platform).
– Background in news, media, and publishing.
– Marketing degree or equivalent qualification.
– Basic HTML/Liquid troubleshooting skills.
