Job Description

New Business is the lifeblood of an agency. Creating a pipeline of prospects and nurturing leads is a constant, evolving part of the role. The best new business people are relentless, curious and highly skilled at building relationships both internally and externally. They can be trusted to represent the agency accurately and professionally and in time will have knowledgeable discussions with clients about their marketing plans.

We are looking for a candidate, ideally with a year’s experience in a related industry, who is interested in advertising and will educate themselves on a number of important factors such as awareness of trends in advertising/marketing, awareness of big players and competition, familiar with client and agency figureheads and their agendas, keeping track of big account moves. A combination of new business and marketing responsibilities, this role has been created to support an increasingly busy team, you will be working directly into the New Business Director & Marketing Director. The candidate will ideally have knowledge of the different roles and functions within an agency and how they work together.

Key responsibilities:

New Business

 Manage reporting of new business activity through the pipeline and pitch tracker, ensuring it is up to date at all times.
 Supporting prospecting activity and new business strategy including identifying new opportunities.
 Lead CCS Portal, monitoring for updates, supporting pitch teams with uploading and managing live pitch comms through the portal.
 Creds development and preparation of RFI’s.
 Support with the organization and administration of pitch activity including…
• Pitch material preparation
• Room requirements
• Travel and AV equipment
• Client welcome/ hosting / pitch theatre
• Proofing documents

 Briefing New Business Designer and helping oversee the creation of pitch materials e.g. presentation decks, printed/branded materials etc.
 Assist with the management of online intermediary platforms.
 Own New Business & Marketing administrative tasks as required.

Marketing

 Support the delivery of the marketing plan.
 Help tell the M&C Saatchi story in our existing channels and through press and national media partnerships.
 Supporting with the organization and delivery of key agency events and initiatives including fostering key partnerships with organisations and individuals e.g. International Women’s Day Panel.

Role Requirements

 This role requires good communication skills across agency departments at all levels.
 Attention to detail.
 Strong organisational skills, ability to prioritise and manage multiple workloads.
 Good written, PowerPoint, Word and Excel skills.
 Ability to use your initiative and confidence to suggest new solutions and ways of working.
 Flexibility will be key due to pitch timeframes – you may be expected to work late or at weekends occasionally but time in lieu will be managed by your Line Manager.
 This team works at a fast pace and an ability to stay calm under pressure is helpful.
 We’re looking for someone who is passionate about developing a career in new business and marketing rather than seeing it as a stepping-stone to another role.
