A little bit about our team
The Communications team is responsible for the fame and reputation of UKTV, looking after the network’s consumer publicity, corporate communications and internal communications. The team devises innovative and compelling communications strategies for the network and its ten channels, to support UKTV’s business strategy and maintain strong and transparent relationships between UKTV, the media and its stakeholders. With the support of the Communications team’s ambitious campaigns, UKTV is now regularly recognised for innovation, scale and creativity in the broadcasting industry.
Purpose of the role
This new role supports the Internal Communications Manager in delivering UKTV’s internal communications strategy, helping to ensure that staff understand the company’s ambitious vision and their own vital role in contributing towards UKTV’s success.
In this role you will get to…
You will get to produce our weekly virtual all-company Tuesday Morning Meeting (TMM), collaborating with colleagues across the business to find engaging content, collate and curate that content, manage the schedule, and run the event using Zoom.
You will also lead the monthly all-company digital newsletter, The Wrap, seeking out engaging and newsworthy stories from across the business, writing and editing copy, making use of audio and video to bring content to life, and building the content in Poppulo before sharing with all colleagues.
You’ll have the chance to work across a variety of internal comms projects with the support of the IC Manager, including all-company celebrations, the annual staff engagement survey, diversity and inclusion work streams, and channel and show campaigns, ensuring they run smoothly and deliver on their goals.
This role will offer you a brilliant opportunity to be creative, take ownership of your work and take our internal communications to the next level. You will directly contribute to bringing our company strategy to life, helping colleagues understand UKTV’s goals and ambitions, and how they each contribute towards the company’s success. You will also have plenty of opportunities to collaborate with colleagues at BBC Studios, particularly in the Internal Communications team, ensuring the relevant content reaches UKTV colleagues in a timely and consistent way.
